Terms and Conditions – Link-Group Ltd

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the provision of construction services by Link-Group Ltd (“we,” “our,” or “us”) to you (“Client” or “you”) in the United Kingdom.

 

By accepting a quotation, placing an order, or instructing us to carry out works, you agree to these Terms.

1. Definitions

• Quotation: A written estimate of costs and scope of works provided by Link-Group.

• Services: Any building, roofing, demolition, carpentry, repair, or related construction work carried out by Link-Group.

• Contract: The agreement between Link-Group and the Client incorporating these Terms.

2. Quotations and Acceptance

 

2.1 All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated in writing.

 

2.2 A deposit may be required before ordering materials or commencing works. The deposit amount will be stated in the quotation.

 

2.3 Acceptance of a quotation forms a binding contract governed by these Terms.

 

3. Scope of Work

 

3.1 Services will be carried out in accordance with industry standards and applicable UK laws, including the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015) where relevant.

 

3.2 While we take all reasonable care, some disturbance to walls, ceilings, or finishes may occur. We are not responsible for minor cosmetic damage unless explicitly agreed in writing.

 

3.3 Any variation to the original scope must be agreed in writing and may incur additional charges.

 

4. Client Responsibilities

 

4.1 It is the Client’s responsibility to obtain all necessary planning permissions, building consents, or approvals required by the local authority.

 

4.2 Clients must ensure safe site access and provide accurate information

regarding site conditions, hazards, and project requirements.

 

4.3 Failure to meet these responsibilities may result in additional costs, including a minimum charge of £200 to cover expenses incurred.

5. Payment Terms

 

5.1 Payment is due within 7 days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing.

 

5.2 Overdue payments may incur interest in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

 

5.3 We reserve the right to suspend or withhold Services until payment is received.

 

6. Roof Repairs and Guarantees

 

6.1 We cannot guarantee that roof repairs will prevent future leaks.

 

6.2 Complete re-roofing is the only method to fully guarantee leak prevention.

 

7. Salvageable Materials

 

7.1 All salvageable materials remain the property of Link-Group unless otherwise agreed in writing.

 

7.2 Salvaging costs are generally included in the quotation unless specifically stated.

 

8. Delays and Force Majeure

 

8.1 Link-Group shall not be liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:

• Extreme weather

• Material supply shortages

• Government restrictions

• Unforeseen site conditions

 

8.2 Completion dates may be adjusted in such circumstances, and additional costs may apply.

 

9. Liability

 

9.1 Link-Group maintains public liability insurance in accordance with UK standards.

 

9.2 We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of property value, revenue, or minor cosmetic damage.

 

9.3 Any claims must be made in writing within 30 days of completion of works.

 

10. Termination

 

10.1 Either party may terminate the Contract if the other materially breaches these

Terms and fails to remedy the breach within a reasonable period.

 

10.2 Termination does not affect the Client’s obligation to pay for works already carried out or costs incurred by Link-Group.

 

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
